Welcome to Fantasy Friday on the Rocks—a weekly escape into the pages of your favorite romantasy novels, served with a twist (and sometimes a splash of something strong). I started this series because I believe that fiction isn't just meant to be read—it’s meant to be felt. And what better way to feel it than with a drink in hand that tastes like your favorite character?
Each Friday, I’ll be sharing a book-inspired cocktail—something magical, moody, or just plain delicious—paired with one of the incredible women (or men... or fae...maybe even a wyvern) who’ve stolen our hearts.
This week, we’re starting strong with a drink that’s all fire and frost. Introducing:
🔥 The Fireheart Espresso Martini 🔥

Inspired by Aelin Ashryver Galathynius from Throne of Glass, this cocktail is bold, unyielding, and just a little dangerous. Like Aelin, it’s dark and elegant—with a fierce kick beneath the surface. It's the perfect blend of power and indulgence.
Why Fireheart?
Aelin is more than just a queen—she’s fire incarnate. A survivor. A strategist. A spark that refuses to be extinguished. When I was dreaming up this drink, I wanted something that captured her fire and resilience… but also her love of the finer things (and let’s be honest, her tendency for a little drama). This espresso martini is rich, velvety, and packs a little heat—just like our Fireheart.
