There are some moments in books that never leave you.
The first time Feyre sees the stars raining down over Velaris.
That quiet, breathless dance on a balcony under starlight.
The way he looked at her—like she was the only light in a world of shadow.
This week’s Fantasy Friday on the Rocks is my tribute to that moment. A cocktail that captures the magic of Starfall and the essence of the High Lord who made us all fall in love with the night. 💫
A violet shimmer swirling in stardust.
It’s smooth, sparkling, and pure night incarnate.
This cocktail features my favorite End of Days' Luna Bloom butterfly pea flower gin, which gives it that gorgeous violet hue. The color shifts and deepens when you add lemon, and a dash of edible glitter takes it to another realm—like stars suspended in liquid.
To the Stars – RecipeIngredients:
- 2 oz Luna Bloom butterfly pea gin
- 1 oz fresh lemon juice
- 0.5 oz agave
- Sparkling water or prosecco
- A pinch of edible glitter (I used a dark silver)
- Optional: violet sugar for the rim (see below)
- Rim your glass with violet sugar (if using—see the quick how-to below).
- Shake the gin, lemon juice, agave, and edible glitter with ice.
- Strain into a champagne flute.
- Top with sparkling water and swirl gently.
- Garnish with a lemon twist, blackberry, or dried violet petals. I highly recommend something you can stir your drink with so you can be mesmerized over and over by the Starfall magic!
Violet Sugar Rim (optional… but highly recommended)
To make your own violet sugar:
Pulse 2 tablespoons dried edible violets with ½ cup sugar in a spice grinder or food processor until fine and fragrant.
Store in an airtight container and use to rim your glass with a little lemon juice.
It’s subtle, floral, and feels like something you’d sip while stars fall over Velaris.

A Toast to the Night Court
Whether you're channeling Night Court vibes, planning a Starfall-themed party, or just looking for a drink that’s as beautiful as it is delicious—this one’s for you.
To the stars who listen… and the dreams that are answered.
